Sunabi Yi (17 years old), was born and raised in New York. She is currently attending Bayside High school as a senior. At the age of four, Sunabi first started to learn Korean traditional dance. Eventually at the age of seven, Sunabi started to learn the Korean 12 stringed zither called the Gayageum. 

Sunabi has performed at Symphony Space, Lincoln Center, Jacob’s Pillow Dance, and so much more. She has also received many awards ranging from the President’s Volunteer Service Award to the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Charles B. Rangel.

Sunabi has created the Korean Arts Club at Bayside High School, where multicultural students join to perform Korean dance pieces. On top of her creation of the Korean Arts Club, Sunabi has established the La Bella Ensemble New York. Members, Sang Lee(pianist), Joshua Lee(cellist), and Sunabi Yi(gayageumist) come together to combine western music and eastern music. Their most noted performance was at Hofstra University: Crest Hollow Country Club.

Sunabi also volunteers at the Youth Community Project Team(YCPT), where she advocates against domestic violence.
